At the age of 22, Naby Keïta is this year's youngest nominee. The RP Leipzig midfielde rand Guinea international has greatly contributed towards his team's success since his transfer in 2016. In his Bundesliga debut, Keïta came off the bench to score the winning goal against Borussia Dortmund. He made 31 appearances in the 2016/17 Bundesliga campaign, scoring eight goals and assisting seven. In international football, he has 18 caps for Guinea.
