How the search for a cup has helped others with autism

World at One

Available for over a year

When a father launched an online campaign to replace a little blue cup for his autistic son it soon went viral. Marc Carter appealed on Twitter for a specific Tommee Tippee cup for Ben who was at risk of dehydration when it began to wear out. With the help of the internet, the company produced 500 new cups just for Ben. Through his success Mr Carter set up the charity Little Blue Cup to help other children with autism. He told the World at One: "I wanted to use the momentum to see if we could get some more help for some other families." (Photo: Blue Tommee Tippee cup. Credit: Marc Carter)
