US tax cuts face criticism from Europe

World Business Report

Available for over a year

Donald Trump wants to be the US president who implements the biggest tax cut in history - but his package of tax reforms has come under fire not just from voices within Congress, but also within Europe's five biggest economies. In a letter to the White House and the US Treasury, finance ministers from the UK, Germany, France, Italy and Spain have warned the Trump administration not to use tax reform to promote "America first" trade discrimination. The ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½'s Mike Johnson sought reaction to the letter from regular commentator and US economist Irwin Stelzer from the Hudson Institute in Washington. (Image: Donald Trump.
