'In Pontypool we've got an epidemic of dog poo'

Jason Mohammad

Available for over a year

Caller Chris from Pontypool welcomes the idea of covert council 'dog poo' patrols. Five Councils in Wales say they would consider using covert tactics - such as officers wearing plain clothes - to catch and fine people who drop litter or let their dogs make a mess on the pavements. Torfaen Council say they've paused the use of private contractors working in plain clothes, but they may use the tactic again. Blaenau Gwent use the same company to enforce fines while Gwynedd, Monmouthshire and Pembrokeshire councils say they would consider covert action.
