Snowboarder Kevin Pearce was preparing for the 2010 Winter Olympics Games in Vancouver. The American was one of the favourites to win a medal in the halfpipe but on December 31st 2009, Kevin suffered a traumatic brain injury whilst practising. He would never compete again.
