Sri Lankan born author Ruby Lovell has written a picture book to represent her dual heritage after struggling to find any books including this fusion of cultures. She moved to London as a child, and feels strongly that children's books need to explore diverse voices. Her book Ruby Rides The Elephant takes the reader on a colourful journey through Sri Lanka.
