Sue Bruce- Smith explains what Frances McDormand meant by ‘inclusion rider’ in her speech for Best Actress at the 2018 Oscars. Sue Bruce-Smith is deputy director of Film4 which produced Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri, for which McDormand won her Oscar. She said McDormand is ‘throwing down the gauntlet to the industry’.
