JB Gill: Why isn't there a GCSE in agriculture?

5 Live In Short

Available for over a year

JB Gill said he is "baffled" that young people don't know more about where their food comes from and thinks agriculture should be given a far more prominent place on the school curriculum. The former JLS member spoke to students and teachers from Hadlow College and from Brockhill Park Farm School as part of a special report for ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Radio 5 live. Teacher Donna Ashlee told him: "Learning about where your food comes from has such intrinsic value to people’s lifestyles, how they live. "It’s shocking how people - educated people – have so little idea of where their food comes from." This clip is originally from 5 live on 8 March 2018.
