Off the rails: Candy and Crystle

Woman's Hour

Available for over a year

Twenty years ago Crystle was a troubled teenager who was pulled back from the brink by youth worker Candy. Now they work together running three youth clubs, visiting schools and doing street youth work in the Hythe and Dibden area of Hampshire – often driving around local estates helping teenagers at risk of getting into trouble. Our reporter Jo Morris joined them on a freezing night at the start of their shift and asked them, why do they go out on the road to talk to teens?
