In 2016, two police officers shot and killed Alton Sterling in Louisiana in the US. Video footage appeared to show the officers holding Mr Sterling down, as one fired his gun. The officers are white. Mr Sterling was black. The incident sparked days of protests in Baton Rouge and across the country.
