World War Two ends - but what awaits John, former prisoner of war, back home? (Part 5)

Wynne Evans

Available for over a year

To mark the centenary of the RAF, we've been hearing John Martin's incredible story of danger and bravery, in the skies and behind enemy lines during World War Two. John - now 95 years old and living in Cardigan - recalls the final stages of the war, as D-Day marks the turning point for the Allies and the Prisoner of War camp he'd been in since the previous year was liberated. But what was on John's mind was his beloved Adelaide, back home - what will she make of his return? John and Adelaide have now been married for 73 years; both recall that emotional time as clearly as though it were yesterday.
