Daphne and Jack - Needing to Know Why You're Crying

The Listening Project

Available for over a year

Daphne and Jack were childhood sweethearts who grew up a few hundred yards from each other, and married in their 20s. They have two children and seven grandchildren. In 2010 a routine medical for Jack led to a diagnosis of renal failure and myeloma. He has been very ill, and has dialysis three times a week. Retired, he has used some of his time to write a book on marketing with a colleague, while Daphne had to give up her career as a PA in order to become Jack's carer. She has become involved with various groups and is a passionate supporter of the Campaign to End Loneliness - something they have both experienced since Jack has been taken ill.
