May and Jackie have been married for over 40-years. They live in Castle Douglas in Dumfries and Galloway, and share their home with Darcy, their beloved golden Labrador. May is a retired hairdresser and Jackie is retired from the fire service, but they're both still very active in local community events, particularly amateur dramatics. When they first met, both Jackie and May had come out of other unhappy marriages. Despite their opposing characters, they fell in love and they're still going strong all these years later.
