Iconic disco outfit Sister Sledge have some shows coming up in the UK this month and they've just announced that they are bringing the band's story to the big screen for a new movie. Kim Sledge, one of the members of the group has been developing 'Life Song' - a feature film about the rise to international stardom of the four musical sisters from Philadelphia. All of their hit songs - We Are Family, Lost in Music, Thinking of You and He's the Greatest Dancer - have all been cleared for use in the film which will be based on Kim's upcoming memoirs. The family will have input in the script and the casting as both come together. And they arrive in the UK on the 16th August for run of gigs in London, Oldham, Solihull, Windsor, Preston and Bristol. 6 Music's Clare Crane spoke to Kim to find out more about their reception from UK audiences and about the Sister Sledge film in the making.
