Nicky Holloway was one of the four young DJs (alongside Danny Rampling, Paul Oakenfold and Johnny Walker) who went on holiday to Ibiza in the Summer of 1987 and experienced "Superclub" Amnesia for the first time. They were introduced to the unique and eclectic style of DJ Alfredo Fiorito's sets which included pop, soul, funk, and jazz, along with emerging house music, then being exported from America. The friends returned home to London and set about recreating their experience and the sounds that Alfredo, the father of the Balearic Beat, had introduced them to. Nicky shares his favourite 'warm up', 'floor filler' and 'wind down' tracks, that take him back to those early, hedonistic days on the White Isle.
