A new ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ investigation has uncovered allegations of decades of physical cruelty and child sex abuse at a children's home in Argyll. The claims focus on the Lagarie Children's ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ in Rhu, which was run by the Sailors' Society charity. ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Scotland's Mark Daly was the lead reporter in the investigation and, as he explains in this week's Reporter's Notebook, investigative journalism can sometimes lead reporters down some very dark alleys.
