The impact of climate change on our environment

World Update

Available for over a year

Scientists from the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (the IPCC) say that society must act fast to avoid a dangerous rise in temperature- which means keeping global warming to below 1.5 degrees Celsius. Professor Jim Skea, one of the authors of the latest report, describes the impact that we could experience if this is exceeded, and the changes needed to our attitudes to achieve the recommended reduction.
