Analog Africa label founder plays Somalian disco

Late Junction

Available for over a year

ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Radio 3 Late Junction's Max Reinhardt is joined by Samy Ben Redjeb, the founder of the Analog Africa label. Analog Africa celebrates and shares vintage music from across the continent, and Samy brings in some favourite tracks that inspired him to start crate-digging in the first place. His selections include 80s Somalian disco outfit Dur-Dur Band, and Ivorian musician Ernesto Djédjé, who pioneered the ziglibithy style that was popular in the country in the 70s.
