Fighting for women's inclusion in the Tour de France

The Conversation

Available for over a year

Kathryn Bertine is a retired pro cyclist who campaigned for a women's Tour de France. In 2014 a one-day women’s race was created, but Kathryn argues that the women's race should be three weeks – the same as the men’s – and that one day is tokenism.  She says when sport organisations don't treat men and women equally, they lose out.
