Can A-Rod sell baseball to Britain?

World Business Report

Available for over a year

Retired New York Yankees player Alex Rodriguez, known as A-Rod to his fans, is considered the modern day equivalent of baseball legend Babe Ruth. He is considered one of America's most famous sportsmen and is using that fame to help promote baseball to international markets. Major League Baseball (MLB) is looking to gain new fans and London is a centrepiece in their plans. The New York Yankees will face off twice against their great rival and current World Series holders, the Boston Red Sox, at the London Stadium next year. It will be the first ever major league baseball game in Europe. Mr Rodriguez spoke to the ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½'s Anu Anand about how he plans to pitch baseball to the Brits.
