The wintry croak of the European raven

Breakfast

Available for over a year

This Corvus corax corax was captured by Michael W Richards in Troms County, Norway, and it doesn't half sound like it has a sore throat. Ravens are the largest member of the crow family, and they really are massive. Picture a wingspan of up to 1.5 metres - that massive. Listen out for its click/pop calls halfway through, its wingbeats, and the sound of crows. Image of two juvenile ravens taken in Iceland by Sigurður Atlason.
