Further Brexit softening 'could lead to Tory split'

World Update

Available for over a year

The Brexit deal UK Prime Minister Theresa May negotiated was defeated in parliament by more than 200 votes. Without her deal, either no deal or a new law to suspend or revoke the Article 50 leaving date of 29 March are the most easily predicted outcomes. The group of pro-Brexit Conservative MPs known as the European Research Group (ERG) say they would be happy with no deal, but they have their own suggestion - a move to a free trade agreement.
