Male rose-breasted grosbeaks have a sweet, rambling song, and their sharp “chink” calls are also distinctive. In this recording you can hear flock cries from these foliage-gleaning birds, a mass take-off and the call of the steller's jay. It was recorded by Bruce Reitherman, high in the Ponderosa pine forest of Denver, Colorado, USA.
