'He just came into my room and started to undress me'

Woman's Hour

Available for over a year

Pope Francis has acknowledged for the first time that the long rumoured scandal of the sexual abuse of nuns by Roman Catholic priests and bishops is true. It’s also been found to be a widespread problem which has been happening across the world and some women have begun to reveal what has happened to them. Jenni Murray spoke to two former nuns and survivors of sexual abuse Rocío Figueroa and Doris Reisinger Wagner, who have waivered their right to anonymity. Woman's Hour approached the Vatican press office for a response and they say one is being prepared.
