World of Warcraft maker cuts jobs even as industry booms

It's one of the biggest brands in the lucrative world of video gaming. World Of Warcraft - part of a stable of games controlled by the US firm Activision Blizzard, which also includes Overwatch and Candy Crush. The company enjoyed revenue last year of more than $7 billion. Despite that, Activision has now announced that it's cutting 800 jobs - around 8% of the workforce. So what's going on? According to Allegra Frank at Polygon, a US website concerned with all things games and gaming, that record revenue isn't all that it seems.
