Richard Meredith from Sandon suffered a heart attack during a rugby match in Stone in December The 41 year old was rushed to County Hospital by his wife - who did compressions while driving. It took three attempts to revive him - along with a 'mystery medic' intervening: He had surgery to remove a blood clot at Royal Stoke - and was allowed home 4 days later.
