Proposals on how to spend a possible £25m high street fund grant are out to consultation. The plans include the regeneration of Gold Street, a revamp of the Market Square and the development of Greyfriars. They are the brainchild of a group called Northampton Forward, made up of the borough and county councils, the business improvement district, the theatre and a number of other groups. Stuart Linnell spoke to marketing expert and University of Northampton lecturer Kardi Somerfield, community activist Matthew Toresen and Labour councillor Danielle Stone about the plans.
