Campaigners identify concerns over facial recognition cameras

Devon Daley

Available for over a year

Black and minority ethnic people could be falsely identified and face questioning because police have failed to test how well their facial recognition cameras deal with non-white faces. Several UK police forces are trialling the controversial new technology. Campaigners said the tech had too many problems. Griff Ferris is from privacy rights group Big Brother Watch, and explains to UK Black's Devon Daley how the software works.
