Ilhan Omar was born in Somalia and fled to Kenya with her family when war broke out. She came to the US in the early 90's and was granted asylum a few years later. Now, Ilhan Omar is a congresswoman representing a district in the Midwestern state of Minnesota. Given her own story, she has strong opinions on the current immigration clampdown. (Rep.
