Bill Mitchell’s vision was to create his own company to explore theatre that involved place and the people who belong to it. Over the years Bill worked at the National Theatre, The Donmar Lyric Theatre Hammersmith - He for worked at Kneehigh and devised and directed many of their shows like ‘The Red Shoes’, ‘Tristan & Yseult’ and formed Wildworks producing many more incredible shows. Bill died at Easter 2017 he was at home with his partner over over 40 years Sue Hill. Despite being very unwell with cancer Bill continued to work on WildWorks projects up until his last day. But he left his workspace his much loved attic which is full of ideas and his collections over the years.
