Does tighter airport security infringe staff privacy?

World Business Report

Available for over a year

When Dublin Airport recently increased video surveillance following rising incidents of theft, especially duty free items, staff protested by threatening to strike. Employees objected to the prospect of intrusive monitoring from additional cameras in their workplace. It highlights a challenge that many airlines and airports face, balancing the need for tight security in an age of terrorism, against the rights of workers not to be under constant surveillance. The ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½'s Russell Padmore compiled this report. (Picture: A passenger at Dublin Airport. Copyright DAA.)
