Customers have until the end of August 2019 to claim Payment Protection Insurance. PPI as it was commonly known was designed to cover loan or credit card payments if you couldn't work or became ill, but some banks and lenders added this to their customer’s payments without explaining it. A court ruling means they can now claim the money back
