Mel and Andrew have known each other since they were teens but have been a couple since 2017. When they got together, Andrew already had his own narrowboat and Mel was in the process of getting her own. They have no permanent mooring so move on every two weeks around London and the surrounding areas, but always together. They came to the Listening Project to discuss having a life together but seperate, about their different needs and personalities and life on the water.
