Deepfakes - videos which are altered by artificial intelligence to change their meaning have become an increasing issue across the internet . Facebook pledged to invest $10 million to study the problem and they aren't alone, Twitter also announced in the past week it would implement new rules to combat the rise of manipulated videos, audio and images. And last week the US Senate passed a bill intended to help further understand the risks posed by deepfakes. So why is everyone so worried? The ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½'s Joshua Thorpe investigates.
