'I recruited kids to sell drugs, now I help them avoid crime'
Live WiresAvailable for over a year
From the age of 13, Matthew Norford was involved in violent crime. He grew up in a criminal family, and at his worst he was a Manchester gang boss making £2,000 a day, recruiting and grooming children to sell class A drugs. Seven years ago he broke the cycle and began working with the police, NHS, social workers and schools to prevent other young people being sucked into a life of crime. He told his story to ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Radio 5 Live's Sarah Brett. Warning: This audio includes descriptions of drug use and violence.
