34 penalties. That's how many spot kicks it took decide Truro City's Southern League Challenge Cup match with Taunton Town. It's equalled the record for the longest penalty shootout in English football. The match finished 2-2 in normal time before Taunton won the shootout 12-11. The penalty contest lasted for over half an hour with each team missing 11 spot kicks. Truro City defender James Ward couldn't believe what he was seeing.
