Australian bushfires: A resident on the struggle of one coastal town

Newsday

Available for over a year

Rescuers on a naval ship have arrived in the remote coastal town Mallacoota, in the state of Victoria, to help with evacuation plans. It's thought about 20% of homes have been lost in the town. The ship is also delivering emergency supplies and is accompanied by a medical team. Brendan is a resident who has taken refuge at his sister's place, where he says, everyone is shaken but mostly okay. (Image: Thick smoke and orange skies in Australia's coastal town, Mallacoota.
