Newsday

Available for over a year

The coronavirus has been declared a global emergency by the World Health Organization and the death count is continuing to grow in China, with over 200 fatalities. Hundreds of people are being repatriated from China to their home countries. In Australia, the government is settling any person currently in Wuhan into quarantine for two weeks at a detention centre on Christmas Island. Daniel Ou Yong, a 21-year-old Sydney estate agent, was visiting his family in Wuhan and described being stuck in the middle of this ordeal.
