Scaling a 3,000 foot tall rock formation - aged 10

Outlook

Available for over a year

In 2019, Selah Schneiter became the youngest person to scale 'The Nose' - a famous climbing route along a vertical rock formation called El Capitan in Yosemite National Park in the USA. She was helped by her dad Mike, an experienced climber who fell in love with Selah's mum on that same rock. Emily Webb spoke to the pair for Outlook - she asked Mike why 'El Cap' occupies a very special place in their family's history. Picture: Selah and Mike Schneiter Credit: Courtesy Mike Schneiter
