Milstein was born in Argentina but emigrated to Britain in 1976. Her compositions are influenced by not only split identities but for whom they're written. Whether its for the ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Singers or - like here - the ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Scottish Symphony Orchestra, she writes with characteristics of - as she says of the work - "colour and embellishment". Composer: Silvina Milstein Performers: ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Scottish Symphony Orchestra Conductor: Rumon Gamba Recording date: 11 February 2000 Date of broadcast: 11 February 2000
