Mozart's 21st Piano Concerto is full of joy or optimism. The exuberant confidence of the first movement is matched by the exhilarating strains of the 3rd. Both movements are extremely difficult to play with the necessary grace and lightness of touch. In between there is the famous Andante which was used on the soundtrack of the 1967 film 'Elvira Madigan'.
