Many parts of the United States, particularly in the south and west, are seeing major increases in the numbers of cases. President Trump has attributed the rise in cases to the large number of tests being carried out - currently around 600,000 a day. Josh Sharfstein, Vice Dean for Public Health Practice and Community Engagement for the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, has been tracking the pandemic's path. He doesn't agree more testing necessarily means more cases. Photo: Demonstrators outside the State Capitol in Auston.Texas protesting against Coronavirus restrictions Credit: Getty Images
