Covid-19: The cells that could bolster your immunity

Science In Action

Available for over a year

Antibodies are raised by the body during infection by Covid-19 and can offer varying levels of immunity against re-infection but their effectiveness declines over time. However, T cells, which also play a role in the body's immune response against Covid-19, seem to remain active. Dr Marcus Buggert from the Karolina Institute, has been exploring the T cell response and explains the implications of this research. Photo: A group of people in face masks Credit: Getty Images
