Elijah McClain, a 23-year-old black man, was killed after an encounter with police in Colorado last year. He had been put in a chokehold and injected with ketamine. No-one was punished over what happened. Following the outcry over the killing of George Floyd, a petition of more than two million signatures has led to the state of Colorado re-examining the Elijah McClain case.
