Friends and neighbours in Frome are getting together to weed their streets. Mendip District Council stopped using the weedkiller glyphosate because of environmental and health concerns. It was planning to run community weeding trials, but had to cancel them because of coronavirus. Some people in Frome have gone ahead with the idea of pulling up the weeds in their neighbourhood. Caroline Cook has been speaking to Green Party Councillor Shane Collins, who set up the Frome Hoedown group. Image: Mark Brookes
