The pandemic has disrupted routine health services in many countries. Maternity services for pregnant women and women in labour have not escaped restrictions. In the UK, this has included banning partners from clinics and wards - often for most of labour. Shinga, from Warwickshire, recently gave birth and tells us what it was like to be pregnant during the pandemic. We also hear from Wendy Powell, who started the ByMySide campaign, Dr Jo Mountfield, a consultant obstetrician at University Hospital Southampton and public health practitioner Rebecca Best, who worked as a midwife during the first peak in cases.
