Is faster than light travel possible?

CrowdScience

Available for over a year

Light travels at the speed limit of the universe. So to travel quickly between planets faster than light, science fiction shows like Star Trek or the Expanse propose warp drives, or worm holes that can move space around us. But does science back-up these ideas? Theoretical physicist Professor Miguel Alcubierre came up with a way to overcome the universal speed limit without breaking the laws of the universe. ‘FTL’ travel may be possible, but is won’t be easy.
