The global economic cost of the Coronavirus pandemic will run into trillions of dollars. Could the world set up a better early warning system for future pandemics? Dr Michael Mina, an epidemiologist based at the Harvard T.H Chan School of Public Health is trying to do just that with the project dubbed Global Immunological Observatory, which he describes as a "weather system for viruses."
