The News at One

Available for over a year

Some traders have expressed concerns over plans that would see major changes to the city centre, including the introduction of a one-way system from Carlisle Road, through Ferryquay Gate into the Diamond. The move is part of a larger £600,000 scheme announced by the Infrastructure Minister Nichola Mallon yesterday, which would also see the introduction of a priority system for traffic at Shipquay Gate to allow the creation of a new foot way. Declan Moore, owner of Claude's Cafe, and Maria McCloskey, owner of Shipquay Fabrics, spoke to Una Kelly.
