Andrew has a worrying time as he struggles to help Mum out of her wheelchair after a walk

Andrew Edwards

Available for over a year

Mum is finding it harder and harder to get out of seats after a trip out, whether it's the wheelchair or the front of the car. Her brain seems to find it increasingly difficult to tell the body what to do. After five attempts, Andrew decides to go inside for a few minutes and leave Mum in the sun, looking at the garden. When he returns, they try again. Thankfully, this time, Mum gets to her feet and back into the house. Her son wonders if it's a sign of what's to come as the dementia becomes more severe? Mum and Me: The Dementia Diary was originally broadcast on ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Radio Leeds.
